What’s In Season Episode 12: Grilled Marinated Flank Steak with Grilled Vegetable Salad
In June on tbayInSeason, Derek Lankinen from Beefcake’s Burger Factory goes a little off-book to demonstrate how to marinate and grill a flank steak, which is a very lean and flavourful cut. Cooked to medium and sliced thinly over his Grilled Vegetable Salad, this delicious steak can be served warm or cold.
Although you’ll want to throw your steak in the marinade the night before, this simple but deluxe dinner can be prepared in under an hour.
Featuring local ingredients like…
- beef flank steak from Tarrymore Farms Ltd.
- roasted garlic (in season later this year)
- BEER from Sleeping Giant Brewing Co!
- cucumbers from DeBruin’s Greenhouses
- cherry tomatoes from Belluz Farms
- arugula from Pitch Creek Farm
- grilled (yes, grilled!) beets (in season later this month)
- feta cheese from Walkabout Farm
