Recipe courtesy of Tanner Harris, Regional Food Distribution Association.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Brule Creek partially sifted flour
- 1 cup ice cold water
- 1 cup cold unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
Method:
- In a large bowl, measure flour and salt.
- Cut cold butter into small cubes. Using a pastry cutter, cut the butter into flour mixture until formed into small pea size.
- Slowly add ice water and mix by hand, adding water slowly until you can gather dough into a ball.
- Cut the ball of dough into 2 equal pieces, shape into discs, wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.
- When ready, roll out dough on lightly floured surface, about 1/4″ thick.
